Card Experiment began in 2012 with a simple idea: to explore design through the medium of playing cards. Objects you can hold, appreciate, and interact with, while drawing from the rich history of playing cards to explore different design ideas within a single deck.
What started as a small project gradually grew into an ongoing creative collaboration. Each project explores different themes, shaped through collaboration with artists of different backgrounds and styles, bringing unique interpretations to every deck, blending art, design, culture, and storytelling.
Over time, our work has been featured in exhibitions and stocked in museum and art gallery shops, as well as magic shops, reflecting the growing recognition of playing cards as a medium for design and creative expression.

Every deck is a balance between design and production. From intricate line work to finishes such as foil and embossing, we focus on creating decks that feel considered, both visually and in hand. Playing cards may be familiar objects, but for us they offer a space to experiment, refine, and revisit ideas in new ways.

Card Experiment continues to evolve with each release, staying rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and the process of making.
